A long-time chypre lover, I have over the years learned to appreciate many other olfactory families. I am interested in how raw materials come together to create unique notes, accords, and thus sensations, and I am always open to challenging my nose by trying perfume types I may not have liked before. I am constantly researching fragrances and I am often mesmerized by the ability of noses to create perfumes from stories and emotions, and by the beautiful words of other writers to describe the experience. Both continuously inspire me to research new and old pieces, and to explore how each creation evokes memories and sensations.
I love roses and violets, and also when they are intertwined together. I love sweet ylang ylang and inebriating orange blossoms. I like iris, almond, amber, leather, and tobacco. I have more recently discovered deep cacao, warm beeswax, and mysterious myrrh. I have a tumultuous relationship with tuberose and fig, but I am not giving up, and I will continue to seek out creations that make these notes shine.
My passion for perfume has generated a sizable collection that I hope to share with you over time. In addition to my bottles, I collect samples and discovery sets that help broaden my olfactory culture every day. Take a look at my current wears, favorites, and ever-growing wish list.
